Behavior Basics
Sometimes it can be hard to understand why a child or family member is behaving or acting a certain way. Watch this to help understand some basics of behavior!
Visual Schedules
We all benefit from the use of calendars and to-do lists because they add structure to our day. Your child might also benefit from a similar tool while they’re home!
Token Economies
We all have things at home that we would rather do than complete work. Expectations, deadlines, and payment for meeting these help keep us on track. Your children also have many things at home they would rather do than complete chores and school work! A token economy creates a system where your child must meet behavior expectations and complete chores and school work to earn time to engage in the activities they want to do.
Behavior Contracts
Strike a deal! Behavior contract is a strategy that you can use to make a plan with your child about what you expect them to do (complete chores, complete school work, follow rules, etc.) AND what they can expect you to do (give them time to do the things they want to do).
