SUMMARY:Ready\, Set\, Success: Managing Behavior in the Classroom
DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to see positive behaviors in your classroom? This training is designed to empower classroom teachers to promote student engagement and appropriate behavior! Participants will learn key components for managing the classroom and the use of proactive strategies\, including classroom structure\, identifying and teaching behavior expectations\, developing and teaching routines and procedures\, and using reinforcement systems. What can teachers do when inappropriate behaviors occur despite having all the proactive strategies in place? This session walks participants through how to respond to these behaviors using informative and corrective consequences.  \nIn order for the training to be held\, there must be at least ten (10) participants registered. The Arkansas Behavior Specialists are committed to making our events accessible to everyone.  If you require accommodations\, please email the BSS trainer as soon as possible.

SUMMARY:From Prevention to Intervention: Part 1
DESCRIPTION:This training is an introduction to Antecedent-Based Interventions (ABIs). ABIs are interventions that increase the likelihood of appropriate behaviors and/or decrease the likelihood of problem behaviors by changing events that occur before a behavior. Throughout this course\, you will learn about several different ABIs including Visual Supports\, Priming\, Highly Preferred Materials\, Offering Choices\, Premack Principle\, High Probability Requests and Noncontingent Reinforcement. Participants will be introduced to each ABI and learn how to implement each one with fidelity. In order for the training to be held\, there must be at least ten (10) participants registered. The Arkansas Behavior Specialists are committed to making our events accessible to everyone. If you require accommodations\, please email the BSS trainer as soon as possible. Please bring an electronic device to use throughout the training.

SUMMARY:Choosing the Right Tool for the Job: Functionally-Equivalent Replacement Behaviors
DESCRIPTION:Functionally-equivalent replacement behaviors (FERBs) are a critical component in designing effective behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for any student. In this training\, participants will learn to describe\, select\, define\, teach\, and reinforce replacement behaviors. Participants will understand how to use information gathered through the Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) process to implement this powerful behavior intervention. In order for this training to be held\, there must be at least ten (10) participants registered. The Arkansas Behavior Specialists are committed to making our events accessible to everyone. If you require accommodations\, please email the BSS trainer as soon as possible.
